#1:Will They Meet Again?

Posted on the 15 August 2012 by Poojakaradgi

“Digital System Analysis” she mutely read. The guy standing near her, squinted at her.“Yes?” He said.It was then that she realized that it had been long since she kept on staring at that thick little book.“No..Nothing..Are you perusing your engineering?” “Oh, Yes...The book...”He said with a smile.“Second year?”“Yes. You?”“Yes, Yes..Which area do you stay? “she asked.“And which college?”She quickly added  to her previous question so that she doesn’t miss out any.“Nirma, You?”“N-I-R-M-A?” she asked astonishingly. Her big cat like eyes clearly spoke jealousy.“Madam, your papers have been photocopied. You can collect them.” said the tall dark man as he hastily moved his fingers over the green bright buttons of the Xerox machine.“Yes. How much?”“50 bucks madam.” She managed to take out her wallet from the front pocket of the skinny jeans while the Nirma guy stared at her photocopied pages just to get the glimpse of her college name which she knowingly had refused to tell. The guy felt as if he had been interrogated by a smart, attractive CBI agent. It was difficult for him to process the thoughts of what had happened just then.He thought, “How could I have behaved so dumb! And how smart of her to not let out anything about her own self!““KPS Institute of Engineering.” He managed to read these three little words from the pages she was holding. She hid them, as soon as she saw him making an attempt to read the fresh warm white pages, as if it was some kind of a personal note gifted to her by someone special. She managed to leave from there, just smiling at him, to avoid any further bombardment of questions.“Crazy!” He thought and smiled back at her when she turned back and asked “What’s your name, by the way?”
“Sanjay” He replied without realizing that this was his next dumb act.

By the time he would have asked her’s, she waved him off and rode away in her 1960’s Honda Kinetic, cladding her face with a bright red dupatta, to protect her shoulder length silky hair from Ahmadabad’s pollution.
“Foolish I am” He thought.“Sir, what do you want?”asked the Xerox person interrupting his thought process.“Oh yes, I wanted to get the first 25 pages of this book photocopied.”He replied, with his mind still hovering on the thoughts of that beautiful CBI agent.“Still thinking of her, sir?”The Xerox man commented and smirked.
He thought, “He too heard the entire conversation pretending to be working. Damn! “
(To be continued... ;) )
