31 Things I Have Learned in 31 Years

Posted on the 16 July 2015 by Lifeofasportswife @jessaolson
I Today is my BIRTHDAY!! YAY!! So today I am going to share with you the 32 things (there are much more but this is a start) I have learned in my 32 years of life.

1. You are NOT perfect. This is something that I struggle with constantly.

2. Mistakes are alright if you only commit them once. If you are doing it constantly it's now a choice. There are a lot of (bad) things that I had did over and over because I felt like I didn't have any other options.

3. Ask for help. It's nothing to be ashamed of.

4. Everyone is on their own path. Not everyone is going to get married at age 25, have kids at 27.

5. Being a girl and like sports is ok. For so long I was that "weird" girl who liked sports. I am so thankful for find some amazing bloggers who like sports and know sports.

6. Always go to the gym. Never not go.

7. Not going to get a long with everyone.

8. Try everything.

9. Just because they are family doesn't give them as an excuse to be mean. This goes both ways.

10. Unplug.

11. Take tons of pictures.

12. Always make goals.

13. Never stop learning.

14. Be Me.

15. Start a budget early rather than later.

16. Work early.

17. Join clubs. It has helped me branch out and be a lot more outgoing. I didn't have the best (or most normal) sorority experience, but I love it now.

18. Move away to a place that you don't know anyone. I moved to Tulsa my last semester in college for several reasons. One to do an internship, but also to prove to myself I can move to a place where I didn't know hardly anyone (I knew 1 person and show them once) and be alright.

19. Love Everyone.

20. Make plans in pencil not pen.

21. Say NO to more things.

22. Travel as much as you can.
23. Manners go a long ways. Learn and practice please and thank you.

24. Never Stop Learning.

25. Learn to listen. And really listen. Something I still struggle with today.

26. Meet as many people as possible.

27. Tell people when they hurt your feelings.

28. Be open.

29. Love comes when you least expect it.

30. Learn to save, and save early on.
31. Community comes in all forms. I have such an amazing online community and some have turned into real life community.
Tip for next year: Work hard. What you put into it is what you will get out of it. (Thanks Neely!)
