34 Weeks

Posted on the 14 May 2012 by Karaevs @KaraEvs

How far along? 34 weeks!

How big is baby? About 4.7lbs and 18″ long from head to toe, according to BabyCentre.ca.

Total weight gain/loss: Not too sure. Enough, I guess. Now I’m just feeling extra whale-like because of the heat. Yuck.

Maternity Clothes? My mom took me shopping on Friday for some new summery clothes, so I’m pretty excited to bust them out! I also got a bra-extender thingy to attach to the hooks on my bra and give me a little more breathing room. You see – the awesome underwire in my bra was rubbing against my ribs because of the baby pressing out on them and all. It hurrrrrts so bad by the end of the day! The first thing I do when I come home from work is take my bra off. (Classy, I know!) Anyway, I’m hoping the extenders will make due for the next few weeks, because I’m not quite ready to buy a nursing bra.

Stretch marks? Still none!

Sleep: Now that the weather is getting warmer, I’m just my own little furnace. I get up at least 3 or 4 times a night sweating to death. I hate sleeping naked and I HAVE to have a sheet or something wrapped around me, so I guess I’m just stuck suffering.

Movement: She was moving around while I was at my check-up at the doctor’s office the other day, and she kicked him in the hand. I found it quite amusing! And, now I know which body part is responsible for pulverizing my left side all the time, lol.

Food cravings: Nothing out of the ordinary lately, or at least not that I can think of.

What I miss: Being comfortable. And reaching the floor if/when I drop something. It’s so far.

What I am looking forward to: I’m just going to repeat last week’s answer: Some form of solid, non-sweaty, non-achy sleep. Preferably laying flat on my stomach. That is all.

Milestones: I am plotting my official last day at work to be June 15 for maternity leave. Yay!
