It’s official, I’m a mummy (yes I know I know I’ve had a baby for 11 months already) …
I have a new CD in my car (one that my brother’s wife gave me when their 4 small sons were too old to appreciate it any more) and my favourite song of the moment is no longer Jersey Girl by Bruce Springsteen or Sunday Bloody Sunday by U2 or California Dreaming by the Mamas and the Papas … nope, the Boss and all the rest of them have been usurped by the Dingle Dangle Scarecrow with the flippy floppy head … I played it a couple of times in a row earlier, for Hope you understand, and then realised she was fast asleep and played it in repeat another 8 times while I sat in the car in a traffic jam… and then I found myself singing it in the farm shop (no wonder the handsome farmer’s son looked at me in an odd way).
So … there you have it, I no longer rock and nor do I roll … I do the Fairy Penguin Strut, and the Dingle dangle dance …
and I love it.
