Amazing!!! I cant think of a better word to describe my weekend with Oprah Winfrey. I got to hang out with Oprah Winfrey, along with 13,000 other people at the Verizon Center in Washington DC for her Life You Want Weekend Tour. Ok, maybe I never actually got to meet her, but she and I were in the same building, sharing the same experience, at the same time. That's good enough for me.Before I left for DC I already knew the event was going to be great. Here is what I had to say right before getting on the road Friday.
The tour exceeded all of my expectations. During the time I was there I felt like I was exactly where I was supposed to be doing exactly what I was supposed to be doing. That in itself is a gratifying feeling.
During the event I took lots of notes that I will be talking about In the future here on the blog. I also took a lot of pictures that you can find on the Chasing Joy Facebook page.
Overall the theme that came across to me during the event was faith. Faith that you can have the life you want as long as you take steps to claim it.
I came home so happy from the tour that my face is actually sore from smiling so much. Here is what I had to say after the event.
The life I want is one filled with Joy. I am claiming it and I will have it. Chasing it is part of the process and also part of the reward.
