A Little Bit of Everything

A Little Bit of EverythingI don't really remember this picture being taken but I remember the night it happened. It was me and Sprunger closing out Dewey's, and a friend of ours came over with a platter full of crawfish. She talked with us for about 10 minutes until her jealous boyfriend scooped her up and left (with the crawfish). I got that picture randomly in a text a couple days ago and it was too good not to share.
"Me and Crawdaddy... chillin' at Dewey's"

I'm thinkin tomorrow night would be a good Recess/Dewey's kind of night. I'll have to make the appropriate calls to the usual suspects (you know who you are).
Spent the last couple of days in chill mode. Watered the yard, paid bills, didn't go out. I was a good boy. There's a major party coming up on the 8th in about a week [if you haven't read the "A Birthday To Remember" entry, scroll down to the Archives section and find it in August. Trust me. This is going to be round 2 of that epic party] so a little chill time before the madness is a good thing I think. Work has been steady today. Quick wreck first thing this morning, then quiet the rest of the early afternoon while we cleaned the station (Friday is station day), then around 6 pm the city blew up and we made call after call after call. Chest pains, wrecks, and smells of smoke inside a huge house on ocean drive. A little of everything. All we needed was someone to call us to get a kitten out of a tree so that we could tell them we don't do that anymore. ("Have you ever seen a cat skeleton up in a tree, ma'am? You havent have you? That's because they eventually come down.") Finally after all the calls I got a workout in and now it's 1030. We have two trucks here so we alternate calls and I thiiiink they're up next, but I lost track. Looking forward to this weekend. Saturdays are always fun and then FOOTBALL SUNDAY. (God I love football season). [Meanwhile as I type this my friend in Austin is texting me pics of her kissing another girl. Chicks, man.] On that note i think it's time to rack out. We'll see what the night brings.
