A Tribute to My Imaginary Dog…

Posted on the 04 June 2011 by Marensmorsels @marentweets

One day, I will own a Westie. They’re the cutest little dog ever and perfect for apartment life, which will be my next living situation for sure.

They’re little fireballs and love playing outside. I don’t want a little dog that doesn’t like getting down and dirty in the sun. I also want a to be able to take my dog on long walks and short runs.

That little face just melts my heart!

Aww!

I did have a dog when I was a kid. It was a beagle and her name was Jazzi, but we called her Jaz. She wasn’t a very good pet. She was real obstinate and impossible to take anywhere. She started biting people so we had to put her down. I was sad but not very attached because she wasn’t very friendly and at the end I was afraid to pet her for fear of losing a finger.

I think once I move out of my parents house and get settled in my own place I’ll definitely have to get a puppy. Who wants to live all alone?

say it with me again…

AWWWWWW!

Brunch

So this morning my family all met up for brunch at the Black Bear Diner. It’s storming here so we all ordered comfort food. I had black tea with some half and half with my single biscuit and gravy with two strips of bacon.

This is bone stickin’ food for sure!

Growing up my dad and I would taste biscuits and gravy just about any place that had them. We’d rate them on a very intricate system of numbers between 1 and 10 Winking smile. Once I graduated from High school I stopped eating them because I was worried more about my figure than about this really fun tradition with my dad.

Today my dad and I both tried the biscuits and we were pleasantly surprised. We gave them a 7 out of 10, a pretty typical rating. We’ve only had one 10 and it was from a diner in Klamath Falls, we’ve never been there again, but we still talk about it today.

I’m spending the rest of the afternoon writing. It’s Go Time people!
