In the morning
When the first light fell
On the mountain next to my window
Eyes lit up
Nature’s magnificence
Came to the fore
As the light went on
Jumping on the wild deodar treetops
As if waking them up
From a slumber
The mist that had gathered
The last night
Melted into the earth
Like a lover
Melts into the other’s arms
And my heart aches
For I miss
The tender touch of her aloe skin
As her hands wandered
And clamped into mine
A bond forms
And ignites
The sinking feeling,
yet again,
If only,
You could have been here
If only,
She were here..
