Well, it’s April, and we all know what that means: Poetry and Mathematics Awareness Month.
To celebrate 2WC thought we would write a little verse…all month long.
That’s right. Prepare yourself for 30 days of couplets, haikus, iambic pentameter, and maybe even a few free styles all inspired by some people’s favorite subject–Math!
So without further ado let’s kick this celebration off right with a 2WC original:
Long Division
Since the days of elementary, that seem so long ago,
To some you’ve been friendly, to others you’re foe.
Do I carry or drop it, subtract this one just so?
And this decimal, oh the decimals, where’s this decimal s’posed to go?
Long division you are baffling, yet so helpful I’ll admit.
Though some cry calculator, pen(cil) and paper will do it.
