Air Optix Colors and Freshlook Contact Lenses Review

Posted on the 03 November 2016 by Genzelkisses

We know how wearing contact lens can instantly make a difference with how we look. I mean, not only with colored contact lens but even those graded ones that we need in replacement of our eyeglasses. With the proper lens and colors to compliment our eyes, we can achieve the look that we want without looking overdone.

I was able to finally try Air Optix Colors and Freshlook contact lenses. I was hesitant to try them before because they are quite pricier than the lenses I used to wear but now I know why. They are the most comfortable and natural-looking lenses I've tried so far!

"Knowing how long you want to use your contact lens in a day matters. Just like our bodies need to breathe, oxygen is also essential for the health of the cornea, the clear, domed-shaped front part of the eye. Insufficient oxygen may cause corneal swelling and lead to irritated and red eyes which may bring about uncomfortable lens wear," said Dr. Jeanette Romualdez-Oo, Professional Affairs Consultant, Alcon Vision Care .

Air Optix Colors contact lenses are great for LONG-HOUR wear. Each lens is made of proprietary silicone hydrogel material which allows plenty of oxygen to pass through the contact lenses.

I got Gray - Plano (no grade) but you can select from their vast selection of colors from subtle (pure hazel, blue, green, gray, and brown) to vibrant (brilliant blue, gemstone green, honey, and sterling gray).

TIP #1: Whenever I have a new pair of contact lenses, I remove them from the container and transfer to lens case and soak in a fresh contact lens solution for about 6 hours before I wear them. Not really a must but I find it more comfortable to wear because sometimes when I wear them straight from a freshly opened container, my eyes turn red and feels irritated.

I got BLUE Plano and you can choose from other colors. Subtle hues includes amethyst, green, pure hazel, brown, gray, and blue. Then if you're aiming for more striking colors, get any of these: honey, sterling gray, gemstone green, and brilliant blue.

Freshlook also has Dailies (disposable contact lenses): pure hazel, blue, green, and gray. Then if you want o achieve bigger eyes, get the Freshlook Illuminate either in rich brown or jet black.

TIP #2: Even though you can wear contact lenses without the need to correct your vision, it is still advisable to consult a licensed eye care professional to prescribe what's best for your eyes. Remember, it's our eyes we're talking about here.

Unlike the korean lenses in hard to open glass bottles, Air Optix Colors and Freshlook lenses are in these super easy to open plastic cases and lift to open foil cover.

I'm honestly not a fan of blue tones in contact lenses but I'm surprised to see how this pair look so natural, I mean not so dramatic when worn. I was afraid it won't compliment my skin tone, but I was wrong. I loved it so much! 🙂

I also switched to Pure Moist by Alcon as my soaking solution for my contact lenses.
TIP #3: Use the right soaking solution for cleaning, rinsing, disinfecting, and proper storage of your lenses.
