And Now The End Is Near... But Not Really
You may have noticed that within the past few months, especially weeks, that my posts have sort of waned. I haven't really posted much of anything, just here and there, and it’s time I explained why - if you haven’t figured it out already.
Back in May, I accepted the position of a contributing reviewer over at Bookish, run by the wonderful Miss Evie. While I do enjoy working on Beauty but a Funny Girl, I’ve made a decision regarding its future.
This is a decision I’ve been thinking about for months, and while it did not come lightly, I think it’s time that I stopped focusing on two blogs and focus on one. That being said, I will no longer be maintaing Beauty but a Funny Girl and will be turning my attention fully on Bookish.
While I am sad to see an end to Beauty but a Funny Girl, Bookish has become to feel more like a home to me than my own blog. Weird, I guess, but the truth.
I do love my little blog, but I want to focus more of myself, my family, my friends and it’s rather hard to do while working with two separate blogs. Updating both, posting on both, and all the things that come with running a blog. My calendar looks ridiculous as I try to keep track of what needs to be posted on which blog and when. It’s time I simplified and gave myself one less stress headache. I have throughly enjoyed working on my blog the past year, tweaking it here and there, learning new things, and creating some memories.
I love being a part of the blogging community, which is one of the reasons I don't want to stop blogging. I've made some great friends along the way and found some amazing new books and authors and I don’t want to lose that. This decision allows me to still review and be a part of the blogging community, but also live a life outside of blogging (if such a thing exists). Additionally, reviewing over on Bookish with Evie and the other amazing girls I’ve since met will allow me enjoy blogging once more. I love our amazing team over there, so when it came down to picking one over the other, I know which one will make me happier. I’ve made the right decision, as hard as saying goodbye to Beauty but a Funny Girl may be.
Evie has been very generous in allowing me to still be me and chose the books I want to review, tours I want to participate in, and to be a full contributing member of her blog. As since making my decision, she has "promoted" me to blog co-owner and partner. *squeal*
I appreciate all of you that have been avid readers of my blog, new and old, and I hope you'll join me over at Bookish - where we have a few surprises and new ideas in the works. You'll still be able to find me on TwitterGoodreads, Tumblr, and contact me at [email protected]. I'm not leaving you or my love of blogging behind, just moving my home base.
And Now The End Is Near... But Not Really
Okay, I know this gif doesn't really have to do with how I'm moving, but when I was searching for something, I found this and it made me laugh. So I'm sharing it. Besides, Johnny Depp.
