Arm Pain Causes And Home Remedies For Relief. Arm pain is usually associated with occupational stress. Generally, we experience arm pain because we have been doing lot of work lately. It depends on profession. Sportsperson, engineers, writers, those who work on computer all can feel arm pain. There are other causes of upper arm pain.
Arm pain causes : 
  • Muscular stress due to repetitive load on the arms : If we exert ourselves more than what our body can bear, then it is definitely going to create some problems. One of them is arm pain. 
  • Arthritis in the shoulder joint or elbow joint can cause radiating pain in the arm. 
  • Anxiety can trigger arm pain. This is a response by the brain to anxiety. There are changes in blood flow patterns and nervous response which makes the brain create the illusion of arm pain when there is no reason for pain at the location. 
  • Arm pain may also result from a condition known as Raynaud's phenomenon. It causes reduced blood flow to the extremities and may cause pain in the fingers, wrist and forearm. It happens because of cold and drinking coffee aggravates this condition. One of the signs of this disease is bluish nails, instead of healthy pink color. 
  • Fracture of the arm bone or dislocation of shoulder or elbow joint cause very intense pain and inability to move the arm. 
  • Nerve related pain that occurs in the arm because of sine disorders in the neck region. Nerves that emerge from this region of the spine go to the arm and down to the fingers. Any damage to these nerves can cause radiating pain, numbness and burning sensation in arm, back of neck and shoulder. 
  • Nerve compression or pinched nerve in the elbow can cause arm pain. 
  • Elbow disorders, like tennis elbow and golfers elbow cause sharp, constant pain which goes up to the arm and down to the forehand. 
  • Left arm pain is also included as one of the signs of heart attack and should not be neglected. 
  • A severe cause of arm pain is bone cancer. This often strikes the limbs and causes pain and anguish. 
Arm pain that is probably due to working too hard can be relieved. There are a lot of home remedies that people try to relieve their arm pain. 
  • Bathing with hot water often relieves arm pain due to cramps. Warm water relaxes the muscles and provides sufficient relief. One should also take necessary hours of sleep. Lying down in a bathtub filled with warm water and some salt is even better. 
  • Meditate or walk to reduce stress and anxiety. Walking for some time in a nice climate helps to bring down stress and makes a person feel better. 
  • Eating cherry can help to reduce arm pain. They help with such kind of pain. So, eat a full serving of cherries and see if the pain reduces in intensity. Some things in diet really help to reduce certain kinds of body pain. 
  • If there is swelling in the arm, then lie down and raise the arm above the level of heart using a pillow or something. 
These were the general causes of arm pain and how they can be relieved. Due to the body's structure, there are many specific causes for arm pain in the left arm and the right arm. Taking a healthy diet and exercising for some time everyday can make your body stronger and resistant to such pain.
