#worstbloggerever. I woke up this morning thinking it was Wednesday. Then the hubs bursted my bubble and told me it was Thursday which is the LAST Around the Horn. These past few weeks work has been crazy and my days are all mixed up. I have literally came home and just sat there. I was going to come home and work on this post and make it all pretty.
I love baseball. I was lucky to grow up around 2 Triple A teams. For a while I lived in Iowa and had the Iowa Cubs. I love Sec Taylor Field now Principal Park. (Technically it's Sec Taylor Field at Principal Park.) I loved the Cubs growing up. We didn't go to many games growing up but I still loved my hometown team.
Than my parents moved us to Conway, Arkansas. (Which is about 30 minutes from Little Rock.) In LR we have the Arkansas Travelers. They are actually the reason I wanted to work in the sports industry. It's was (they now moved) just a regular ole school stadium. No glitz or glamour. It was perfect. You could come and just watch a game of baseball. My favorite!! Plus it didn't hurt that it was right beside the LR Zoo. Another one of my favorite things.
My favorite MLB team is the Braves. Growing up they were always on TBS, and plus Chipper Jones was HOT!! My whole room was decorated in all things Chipper. Thanks to a sport shop right next to a fabric store. Mom could go look at fabrics and I could look at baseball cards.
This year the hubs has made it clear we are going to have a World Series Party. I'm excited because I love having people over and entertaining. So if you are in my area (which probably not because NO ONE is.) then you are invite. Or if you want to spend the World Series weekend in WV let me know too. All is welcome!!
My predictions are: Nationals (which kills me as a Braves fan) and Angels. The Nats have pitching rotation like no other, and handful of great players to watch. The Angels: because they are a more balanced team.
