I am so not a morning person.
This has become more evident to me as I have class at 9 in the morning Monday thru Thursday, and I spend half the class doing my darndest not to fall asleep. If I lived closer to campus, it probably wouldn’t be quite so dramatic, but 7:30 am til 9 am is a really sucky time to be driving on Rt 1 here in Central Joisey. And here’s me trying to give up soda (and thereby, caffeine)(and yes, that would be again…you can’t say I’m not persistent.) Possibly not smart.
I’m trying to figure out what country my professor originates from. I’m thinking somewhere in the Eastern bloc of Europe, but I could be totally off. All I know is that she kept saying “fluke-tuition” and I couldn’t figure out she was saying “fluctuation” until she wrote it down on an overhead transparency.
And my TA? I think she’s French or possibly Spanish (yes, I realize they are completely different, but her accent is an interesting mix that I can’t quite sort out.) I’m not so sure how good she is as a teacher. She knows her concepts, but she seems to have a difficult time conveying that to the students. I miss my TA from last semester.
My goal, since I only have one class right now, is to get an A. I think that would make me feel better about the whole thing. I have yet to get an A in my science courses (unless you count Intro to Chem, which I don’t because pharm schools really won’t.) Granted, I’ve gotten B’s, but I just don’t think that’s good enough.
