On this, the International Day of Awesomeness (yes, it’s a real thing, look it up), I thought I’d take a moment to reflect on what it truly means to be “awesome.”
Tenets of awesomeness:
- Fearlessness: To be clear, sometimes fearlessness means not being afraid of being afraid.
- Kindness: There is nothing awesome about being a jerk.
- Forgiveness (Patience): With true awesomeness comes the ability to forgive and endure those who are still working their way towards awesome. They’ll get there.
- Humility: No one likes a bragger. If you’re truly awesome, your awesomeness wil speak for itself. Keep it classy.
And of course, the most important thing to remember: Anyone can be awesome. So go forth and be your most awesome selves.
