Beach Bum

Posted on the 01 August 2011 by Saratpierce
I've been MIA for the past week and SO happy I was!Z and I went up to the NC coast {Ocean Isle Beach to be exact} and spent a full week with my immediate and extended family! MOST of my dad's side of the family was there {and that's saying a lot considering he has 4 siblings all of which had 2 or more children} and it was a blast.Ocean Isle is our annual vacation spot and once again, it didn't disappoint!We did have to suffer through some rainy days but those only allowed us all to catch up on some must see movies {Captain America and Harry Potter 7 P2} and much-needed reading and game time. I'm a bit pooped from all the excitement so here are some photo recaps of the FANTASTIC week.

Beach Bum

my eldest cousin is the only one of the 10 grandchildren with a baby {at least for this year} and her name is Emmy. She's too cute for words and was the centerpiece of the trip! Much like last year!

My cousin Ellen celebrates her birthday in a few days so we surprised her at the beach with an early party

HOW cute is that cake! {and delicious too!}

We even played an EXCITING game of pin {or stick} the tail on the donkey!

I got lots of belly love!

We met up with my mom's side of the family at Wrightesville Beach and Z went on a tubing adventure while I enjoyed the breeze on my uncle's speedboat!

All in all it was a wonderful trip and I'm so sad it's over. Guess it's back to reality but my head is definitely still at the beach. Until next time... Do you have an annual family vacation spot? TELL ME ALL ABOUT IT!
