Posted on the 29 June 2013 by Kimeetay @Kimee_Tay

Aloha everyone! If you’re reading this, it’s your lucky day cause I am going to introduce to you the Best Chicken Chop in The World (according to Dad the Daddy. LOL)

YK 001

Yut Kee the place where they serve you the best chicken chop in the world! I know what you’re thinking, like how can a kopitiam this old sell chicken chop right? They are suppose to sell wantan mee, fishball noodle etc?! Haha. That was what I thought in the beginning too . . . until I actually tried it!

Yut Kee apparently sells the best chicken chop and is located at No. 35 Jalan Dang Wangi, Kuala Lumpur. They also sell a lot of other yummy yummy food as you can see in their menu above. I got to know of this place because of my dad. We were passing by the area when we went to Nuffnang’s office to collect my prize. My dad used to work around that area and was a regular at this place.

However, after his office shifted, he seldom frequent this place as it was not on the way. Since we were already around that area, and dad hasn’t been to this place for years (I was also hungry lah and wanted to try dad’s so-called best chicken chop in the world. LOL.)

This is what the place looks like, typical Malaysian kopitiam. Super antique hor, chairs all also wooden one. See the portrait on the wall, that’s Jack’s father. Jack is the boss of Yut Kee. I guess Jack’s father was the founder of this place. After his father passed away, he took over this place. Here’s a fun fact, Jack used to be a student in Universiti Malaya (UM), one of the top universities in Malaysia! Amazing huh?! Alright, time for the food ↓ ↓ ↓

Tadaa! This is the so-called best chicken chop in the world! Almost everyone who goes there orders this. Actually the dish is pretty simple, it’s the sauce that makes it amazingly delicious. By the looks of it, I think I also can make. LOL. I just need to know how to make the sauce. Haha. In my opinion, I think they should also give us a spoon too instead of just knife and fork. Because the sauce was so tasty I wanted to drink it. Haha. I also ordered asam-boi. LOL

This place has also received a couple of  awards and the most eye-catching one to me is this one – The Best Kopitiam in Klang Valley. LOL. Pretty awesome eh. Here’s another fun fact, according to Jack’s father cash business is the best business, and kopitiam is the best business. Something like that lah. I forgot the exact words that my dad told me. Hehe. Cause the customers pay you cash straight away so there won’t be any scams or fraud etc.

Apart from their chicken chop, there are other items on the menu that are famous such as their kaya roll and butter cake. Their kaya roll, if you want to buy, you gotta wait for them to make it cause always sold out one. When we were leaving, there were only 6 boxes of butter cake left so we grabbed one box to try.

YK 008

Tadaa! Ready cut one. Straight away can take one out and enjoy.

YK 009

My dad passed by the kitchen when he went to use the wash room and he told me that they were baking the cakes in the kitchen non-stop!

YK 007

This is the address of the place where they sell the Best Chicken Chop in The World (according to my dad. Haha) at a reasonable price. If you don’t believe me, drop by the place and try it. Cause I didn’t believe it too at first until I tried it ツ
