Welcome to the Ides of March. Today is traditionally a day to watch your back. Which makes sense, seeing as it’s the day Julius Caesar was stabbed, quite literally, in the back.
With the spirit of the day in mind, I thought I’d tell you to do the opposite.
Yes, you read that right. It seems like we’ve recently lost a lot of faith in our fellow humans.
Given the current political climate, I can’t say I blame anyone. That being said, I think we could all use a reminder that not everyone is out to get you.
There’s a lot we don’t agree on, but for the most part we all have each other’s backs at the end of the day.
I’m not saying you should blindly trust everyone and abandon common sense. You know when to use your own good judgement, and if you don’t, you know someone who can tell you when to use it.
So today, beware cynicism, beware hate, and beware bigotry, but don’t beware your fellow humans. Most of us are alright.
