Blogs to Unclog

Posted on the 25 March 2015 by Skip1957 @skip1957
I've been blogging for several years now, I'm almost embarrassed to say/write that, because you'd think after all this time, I'd be much better at it. I should have a huge following, a fancy house and car, and be the boy toy of some sexy lady, although I'm a little old to be a boy toy, I'm more like a broken toy, truth be told.

When I started in the blogging world, I had ulterior motives, but as I kept at it, I found I enjoyed it. I joined a few sites and posted as much as I could, sometimes finding myself in comment wars with someone who didn't like what I wrote, or something I didn't like that they had wrote..... Nothing knew to social sites, a little controversy makes the world go round.

The one thing I've found that blogging has done for me on a personal level, is to help me get rid of the crap I have running around in my head.It clears my air! Hence, blog to unclog.

I find that I get my best ideas when I'm asleep, it has to be, because when I'm awake, I can't think of a thing to write at times. hell, if I didn't have the day to day troubles and tribulations I do, I may as well give up altogether!

Seriously though, when I get into bed, laying there, the only sounds I hear, is my cat purring, (she lays on the pillow behind my head) and my wife snoring, because she is drowning out the TV, so this is when I get my best ideas. I've often said I should keep a notebook on my bedside table, then I could write them down. You see, something happens between getting the idea, falling asleep, and waking up in the morning, that completely erases any of what was probably going to be the next best seller in the blogging world.

If anyone reading this confuses me as to being a writer, stop reading! I'm a blogger, I consider myself a story teller, maybe not a good one, but I'm loving every minute of it.
