Booty Workout

This week has been totally bizarre. I feel like it flew by but at the same time I am SO ready for the weekend. I struggled all week to get out of bed and workout, so I did a lot of 30 minute runs. Not exactly the mileage I am going for pre-Boston, but it’s ok because my BOSTON TRAINING OFFICIALLY STARTS MONDAY!

Workout Recap!

Saturday:
Treadmill – 60 minutes, 6.5 miles — the only way I can get through a treadmill is if there is good show on TV. I may or may not of watched Giuliana & Bill today! Trashey tv is so good. Don’t hate.

Sunday:
I was so lazy all day. I kept saying to myself “Get up and run. You know you will be so happy you did.” By 5:00pm, it was dark and I still had not done anything. When I finally pulled myself out off the couch I threw together a total body at home workout.
Let me tell you, getting through this workout, which required no weights, was wayyyyyy harder than if I had gone for a quick jog outside.

My a** and hip flexors were so sore. Clearly, I need to do more strength on top of my cardio. I easily rely on cardio because I enjoy it and it honestly isn’t that hard for me. This simple workout, in my living room, taught me a lesson. I am going to try to incorporate more total body workouts… maybe twice a week!?

Monday
I could not get out of bed. I am so lazy lately. I managed to get up about 30 minutes later and quickly grabbed my stuff and ran out the door. It was 50 degrees outside and felt like spring. Marvelous! I just had to run outside with weather like this and so I did.
Ran Outside: 35 min., 4.5 miles.

Tuesday:
Treadmill: 30 min, 3.8 miles while watching GMA. I used to be a TODAY show girl, but now I love GMA. The personalities are so great and they make me laugh all the time. So much better than Matt and Savannah.

Wednesday:
Too lazy to get outta bed. I wanted to go for a long run, but instead barely squeezed in a  quick total body workout from the Tone It Up Girls.

Thursday:
Ran outside: 35 min, 4.5 miles.
I found a new trail by my office. It was really fun to run in the woods! Although I may of taken a superman wipe out…oops. You gotta watch you footing in the woods.

Friday:
Treadmill: 35 min. , 4 miles while watching GMA. I used to be a TODAY show girl, but now I love GMA. The personalities are so great and they make me laugh all the time. So much better than Matt and Savannah.

This weekend we are heading to VT to see our families and hopefully get some on snow time. There is no snow in Mass, it seems weird to think about skiing, but the mountains have been open since before Thanksgiving. It is time to make some turns.
