Brympton House in Somerset is one of my very favourite wedding venues to work at, and over the years I've shot, and blogged, many weddings at this beautiful venue. And every time I go back for another wedding, I'm reminded just how amazing a place it really is, and how easy it is to take it for granted that I get to photograph couples at this truly amazing place. So, one of the things I love about photographing a Brympton House wedding day is to rediscover the venue through the eyes of the couple and wedding guests, who look upon its majesty with eyes of wonder.
Having said that, even though I've photographed many Brympton House wedding days, there's always something new to see or discover - and on this particular wedding, I was surprised to find that the bridal suite had been completely remodelled since the last time I visited! I might get a bit overexcited by this, but for me, it was less that they'd made a new walk-in wardrobe and bathroom, and more that they'd made it possible for me to sit on the floor in front of the makeup area to get a better shot! We photographers are easily pleased by such things 🙂
So, back to this particular wedding, and what an absolute JOY it was from start to finish. Amazing clients, wonderful decor, lovely and gracious wedding guests, and a beautiful couple in love for all to see. I am SO thrilled with this wedding, and so delighted that I was the lucky one to photograph it. Plus, an extra happy tick from me - I had plenty of time to photograph the preparations, which always makes me happy! I just love the vibe of the morning of a wedding day, and especially so when there are lots of children around to photograph. After all, can you imagine what a wedding day looks like through a child's eyes? Magical can't even begin to cover it.
