…buckle up

Posted on the 06 July 2013 by Zer @the2women

…buckle upFashion is a subjective thing.  What’s trendy to one is trashy to another.  Everyone’s entitled to their opinion, but when public decency is on the line, should lawmakers be allowed to step in?

A town in New Jersey has done just that. Sagging pants will no longer be tolerated on the boardwalk this town.  Just the boardwalk, so feel free to droop your pants elsewhere.

They say hindsight is 20/20, but on the boardwalk in Wildwood, NJ, it’ll cost you $20-$200 and/or several hours of community service.

I admit, I think this “trend” is less of a fashion choice and more disrespectful to those around you who are capable of wearing correctly sized pants that sit where god and man intended them to.  However…you knew there was going to be a however…I like to think there are more pressing issues that banning droopy drawers and then policing them.

Call me crazy, but there are plenty of annoying things that people do that I wish they could be fined for: Chewing out a restaurant employee while keeping your phone conversation going, for instance. But some things must be left up to the common decency of society.
