A few weeks ago, Burt’s Bees celebrated its 30th Birthday! I am thankful and honored to be part of this celebration. I’ve been always a fan of naturally made products not only that they work on me (hiyang), I like the feeling that I somehow contributed to the betterment of the environment and Mother Nature. It’s really nice to see a brand flourish and stand the test of time.

Can you find my name? It’s over there at the center! I really like the theme of the event. You know guys how much I love mason jars! We filled it with fruits and made our own healthy detox water!
Of course, detox water won’t be complete without the yummy honeybee!
I can’t get over the cuteness of the cakes and cupcakes! Bees buzzzinngg everywhere!
I get to take home my favorite Burt’s Bees product, the lip balm.
Our lovely hosts. (sorry guys, forgot their names *memory gap attacks again*)
Ms. May Samson – Burt’s Bees Brand Manager
She discussed and showed us some amazing videos starring Burt, yes, Burt’s Bees is named after Burt Shavitz.
Burt’s Bees Three Pillars
The Bees
These insects (that sometimes can be scary for me haha), are their natural partners to make true natural products straight from the hive. It has always been them (the bees) since 1984 to produce products that are sustainable, cruelty-free, and not tested on animals.
The Beekeeper
Known as the world’s most famous retired beekeeper , the 79 year-old Burt Shavitz still lives in his own humble place despite of his huge success and fame. I’m a fan of his humble beginnings and how he still remains who he is despite of everything he has now.
Ingredients we can spell
They are featuring their Classics, the products that spearheaded the birth of Burt’s Bees. I’ll be showing them to you on display as we go along this post.
Here’s a video released to know more about Burt’s Bees and the iconic man behind it.
And now here is a super fun part of the event. We had a short watercolor painting workshop with one of the most talented beauty bloggers I know, Ms. Liz Lanuzo of Project Vanity!
I got so excited for this. I can’t remember when was the last time I used a watercolor but definitely when I was in grade school so that’s more than 10 years ago!
Practice, practice, practice! Thank you so much Liz for this wonderful and fun workshop!
My so-called masterpiece watercolor painting for the day! Haha! It’s very much related to applying makeup only that your canvass should be a thick and clean paper.
Here are some of the products from their Classics Collection.
Peach and Willow Bark Deep Pore Scrub
Formulated with finely ground peach stone, our best facial scrub to deep clean pores, gently exfoliate to remove dead skin cells for a smooth complexion.
Garden Tomato Toner
Infused with a blend of tomato, cucumber, and parsley extracts. It removes lingering traces of cleanser and any trapped dirt, oil, makeups, ad helps tightens pores.
Avocado Butter Pre-Shampoo (Hair Treatment)
Shea and Grapefruit Deep Conditioner

No petrochemicals, phthalates, parabens or sodium lauryl sulfate. Not Tested on Animals.
In 30 years, they now have 6 skincare lines. For radiant glow, you can try their Radiance Line which is infused with royal jelly. For even/brighter/whiter complexion, they have the Daisy White range for fairer tone. If you’re suffering from acne problems, they have this Acne Solutions range. They also have Hydration line for complexion and deep skin nourishment. For sensitive skin, they have The Sensitive range and for anti-aging, they have The Naturally Ageless line for more youthful skin.
Another thing that I really like about them is that even the packaging of their products are made from recycled materials! WHoooa! Nothing is put into waste. I love how they manage to really make their products deliver what they promised and they also get to help improve the environment.
Cheers to 30 years (and more to come) Burt’s Bees! I’ll be reviewing some of their products really soon so stay tuned for that!
