This Flick Friday, I have one question for all my fellow fans of all things film…

If your answer to that question is anything but an enthusiastic GHOSTBUSTERS, then I have another question for you…
Where have you been for the last 30 years?
Those infamous busters of ghouls have been in the news this past week with the all but definite announcement of a reboot of the Ghostbusters’ films.
As if that isn’t exciting enough, it looks like the latest incarnation of everyone’s favorite, goofy, paranormal experts will have an entirely female cast. I’ll give you a second to mourn the loss of Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd reprising their roles (although technically, it could still happen).
Okay, your second is up.
Now, let’s think about all of the fabulous funny ladies that could make this new film just as fantastic as the original. Here, I’ll start you off with a few: Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Kristin Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Maya Rudolph, Emma Stone…I could keep going, but I think you get the point.
I’ll be the first to admit that the idea of female Ghostbusters hadn’t even occurred to me until this week. However, now that it seems like it might be a reality, it seems like a pretty darn good idea. Here’s hoping the long-rumored Ghostbusters film actually happens this time.
