Can you feel the excitement? We’re mere moments away from the season premiere of the one “reality” television show I watch almost regularly. That’s right, “Dancing with the Stars” returns this evening…
While most of the fall season of television won’t start until after the Emmys next Sunday, “Dancing with the Stars” defies those scheduling norms and kicks things off on the dance floor tonight.
While this is the one guilty pleasure television show I watch sans guilt, I admit, even this fangirl was a little floored by some of the stars chose to grace this season’s dance floor.
And if I’m being honest, that list is one person long and it’s Ryan Lochte.
I understand the ratings appeal, but I also involuntarily rolled my eyes when I saw the announcement.
However, being the open-hearted television viewer that I am (who is also very excited to see Olympian Laurie Hernandez, Marsha Brady herself, Maureen McCormick, and I’m very much intrigued by Rick Perry (yes, that Rick Perry), will tune in and hope for the best. Please don’t let me down, DWTS.
