Busy Day!

Posted on the 13 December 2011 by Ourlittlecorner @ourcornerblog

We had a long, kinda crazy, busy day today!
The kids had an appointment to get portraits taken at 10:30 this morning and I had a chiropractor appointment at 11:30. We had to stop at Target to buy C a shirt to wear before he had his pictures taken.
Somehow I managed to leave Target without the shirt that I bought! I was a minute or two down the road and realized I had no idea where the shirt was. The bag and shirt never made it to my car. They weren't at the register or customer service. I'm guessing the bag was probably, mistakenly, taken by the customer in line behind me. Luckily, the manager told me I could go ahead and get another shirt. That fiasco put us to our portrait appointment about half an hour late but that was okay since there were no other appointments scheduled after ours.
I've had great experiences with awesome photographers who quickly snap relaxed and happy shots of the kids. This photographer spent a long time trying to pose my kids and I was about to go crazy. C got bored very quickly and poor Bug was acting really nervous. Really, lady, you really think you can get a 1 year old and 2 year old to hold the poses that *you* want for 10 minutes? Ughhh. Just take the pictures!! We actually did get one great pose of the kids together and several cute shots of the kids individually but I still didn't care for the photographer's approach. After my chiropractor appointment we went to my mom's for lunch and the kids played for awhile. Then home for naps and dinner. I went to my first MOPS meeting tonight. I was kinda nervous because I didn't know anyone and I am really shy. It turned out to be really fun though and everyone was really, really nice! There was also some yummy food. I had a great time and it was fun getting to know some other moms. C was crying when I dropped him off at the nursery so I asked if Bug could stay in his room with him. They were okay with that so the kids were in there together. I forgot to tell the nursery workers my kids' names. When I picked the kids up the workers told me they asked Bug what C's name was and Bug said "He's one!" and they'd ask what her name was and she'd say "I'm two!" She said this over and over. They ended up calling them one and two! Haha! We're home now and the house is a wreck but I just don't feel like cleaning right now. It's 10 o'clock and the kids are still awake. Time to watch the news, then bedtime.
Hope everyone's having a great week!!
