It's the weekend, which means everything has to get done right now. Right?
Yes, there are some who might argue that the weekend is a time to kick back and take it easy, but that never seems to happen. That is especially true at the end of the summer.
So, it seems fitting that today celebrates the busiest of us all, the honey bee. Yes, today is National Honey Bee Day.
This sometimes pesky critter deserves a day to itself. It may have one heck of a sting, but I think the honey more than makes up for it.
The American Honey Bee has had a rough go in recent years, but the good news is apparently it's better off than thousands of other North American bee species.
Which I realize is a bit of a downer, but the good news is it's Saturday. So, you'll have plenty to distract you.
