This week marked the one year anniversary of Pokémon Go. For those not familiar with the mobile scavenger hunt, it’s another reason you’ve seen people wandering aimlessly with their phones for the past year.
While plenty will be celebrating with special Pokémon and other giveaways, I sadly have no Pokémon to offer…although if anyone wants to give me a Pikachu I would not say no.
In honor of this not-so-auspicious-occasion, I’m taking a trip back to the 90s with a Saturday Funday (it’s a thing) with some videos from the decade that brought Pikachu, Ash and all the Pokémon into the world. Enjoy!
