What's in the Kit
Each Balloon Time Standard Helium Kit contains a tank of helium, 30 latex balloons and ribbon with retail prices starting at £22. I picked ours up in Asda but they can be found in a variety of major retailers and party supply stores all over the country, just use the online store locator to find the one nearest you.Ease of use
The kit really is easy to use. You simply open the green valve on the helium tank by turning it counter-clockwise four turns, slide a balloon on the black nozzle, hold the balloon tightly onto the black nozzle and push down to release helium into the balloon, then finally remove the balloon and tie a knot.We inflated both latex balloons which came in the kit and special 2nd Birthday foil ones which we purchased in our local party supply store. Here's a video so you can see just how simple it is to use.
The helium does not expire so you don't have to use the tank all in one go but you must close the valve tightly by turning clockwise, or helium may leak over time. The tank is recyclable but not refillable. Visit Balloon Time helium tanks are recyclable. Visit http://www.balloontime.com/how-to/recycling-empty-tanks/ for instructions.
Our Verdict
We would definitely recommend the Balloon Time kit if you have any parties or celebrations planned. I loved not having to cart about inflated balloons and being able to blow them up on the morning of the party meant they were all super inflated and it was fun to do so too. The foil balloons are still going strong over a week later while the latex ones lasted about three days which was longer than I had expected. I think the product is great value for money and let's face it, everyone loves balloons so why not have your very own supply of super inflated ones for your next celebration.*Disclosure: I'm working with BritMums and Balloon Time as part of the “Celebration Club”, highlighting inventive and fun ways of using balloons.
