Color Me Rad

Posted on the 19 July 2012 by Mattie @comfyconfident

Last Sunday, I ventured to Braintree, MA to do the Color Me Rad Boston which benefits the Simon Youth Foundation! There was a whole crew of FitFluential ambassadors that were in attendence, unfortunately with all the caos and people, I did not get to see any of them. So sad :( .

I did, however, get to run with Vinnie, Willie (my bro) and Lily (my sister) and we had a blast!

The traffic getting to the race was crazy long! Everyone was going to the race. Each car was full of people wearing white and Color Me Rad sunglasses!

We anxiously awaited our exit!

By the time we got there the race had already started! Look at the mass of people wearing white. They clearly had not hit the color yet! COLOR ME RAD

We were ready to go! All clean and white!

About to head into the color!

We got covered in color – not so white anymore!!!

They throw chalk and colored die all over the course. The volunteers throw buckets of color died water, spray die through hoses, chuck color packs of chalk! You can get as colorful as you want! Clearly, Vinnie was into it!

After the race, we went to Quincy beach to wash off but we barely got clean! Each one of us had to take a really long shower, and scrub wicked hard to get all the color off. And, we still didnt get it all! By the time I went to work the next day, it was all off!

This was a super fun day and a great experience. It is very casual and not really a running race – they don’t even have timing set up. The start is rolling, so at 8am the first heat goes, and then you can start at anytime from 8am – 8:45. It is more about the experience and having a fun time with color.  A lot of people were walking/jogging; we tried to run most of it!

I will leave you with this…. yeaaaa color me RADDD!
