This year we've brought pale pink Anthurium Flowers because it is the most popular tropicals with a long vase life of about six weeks and even more depending on the variety and season.

Anthurium symbolizes hospitality.
It is also used to indicate happiness and abundance.

A variety of food, not much but just enough for the whole night stay at the cemetery.

chicken, peanuts, rice, drinks, junk foods

It was a cold night, occasional rain showers keeps me awake.  The place was clear safe, there were security tents on every phase, some of their team were roving randomly.  Ambulance & the First Aid team were on standby.  I've seen not much clutter around, they're collecting it every 12hrs and there's some men in blue uniform walking around to pick up pieces of garbage left by the visitors.
Food carts and retail stores are abundant as usual.   You'll never run out of stuff while on the site.  Some roam around selling some reflector flashlights and balloons, halloween toys for kids, tarpaulin, flowers, candles, cotton candy, peanuts, quail eggs and the Pinoy favorite "Balut"

A beautiful view of night lights makes the evening cozy, looking at our pictures... you wouldn't thought it's from a cemetery lawn.

Still moments with your family counts the most.  In remembrance of our lost loved ones, time teaches us to learn the feeling of Acceptance.  We know there's more in this life that's in store for us.  For me, Life has NO END... Its a Gift and it's for Keeps!

bonding moments

We packed up 9am, 1st of November and off to our next destination.  Actually it was not planned at all, we've saw a jeepney going to Wawa Dam so we all decided that very moment to drop by for a while since its only one ride from the cemetery.  Dalaw 2011
Montalban Wawa Dam- According to the locals is a historic tale of two mountains that was separated by Bernardo Carpio.  It is also said that his hands and feet are imprinted on the rocky mountain.  It was built by the Americans in 1909, originally provided water supply in Manila but eventually closed in 1962.  On September 10, 1985 the Marikina Watershed area where the Wawa Dam is located has been declared as the government reservation area.  It's perfect for those fond of outdoor activities like camping, trekking and rock climbing.
Its approximately one (1) hour trail on our way up  wherein you will walk through the Pamintinan Cave which is said being used by the Japanese soldiers during World War II.

There's also an empty observation deck that was claimed as a Katipunan Heritage Site in 1895 from which the Katipunero's took refuge here.

it's approximately 3 storey structure above the lake

Aside from the beautiful limestone formations, the lake was astonishing with its vibrant water which was believed nestled by a ghost fairy named Pandora.

We stayed on our relatives hut on the rest of the hour wherein we grilled some fish for lunch and ate some native fruits like coconut and bananas.  The rich soil makes it easy for any crop to grew well.  Some crops you can found here are white corn, pineapple, camote, grapefruit (suha), calamansi, & star apple (caimito).

The trail was indeed tiring.  We've got some bruises, dirt all over our nails, wet feet, minor accidents and body aches! But that's nothing for the overwhelming experience on discovering the beauty of our own country.

Back home we've brought not only good memories but sort of amazing stories, wonderful experiences, bountiful knowledge and the love of nature that I think every Filipino family MUST Have.  See yeah on my next adventure! J
