Illustration by Andi/SporkHurricane Irene is coming and I am sitting in my mom's kitchen drenched because I waited too long to put her patio furniture away. I was out there when the sky opened up and poured its love down on me. I felt like Rachel McAdams in 'The Notebook' but there was no Gosling, no baby blue 1940's dress and no amazing following scene. Just me, my kitties and an a Dunkin' Donuts iced coffee and ran out to get before all hell broke loose.
Today is about staying inside, curling up with one of my many books I have been meaning to read and enjoying a quiet house.
