Day 26: Reading is Fun

Posted on the 04 July 2012 by Avocado @90dayavocado

I have learned a great secret of life.

Turns out that the more you read, the better you get at writing.
Who'd have thought?!
I guess I should start reading.

What's a book?
Day 26: Reading is funI'm just kidding! Geez!

Okay, back to reality. Reading really is the best way to learn how to better your writing skills. Which is obvious, I mean, how can you tell what you like in terms of genre and style if you've never experienced it?
Which is why I'd like to recommend some of my Twitter friend's great books:
Fantasy: Destiny of Dragons, Book 1: Book of Wrath, by Billie Jo Williams: http://www.amazon.fr/dp/B0083BP22O/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_hDHWpb0AFVWZ2
Sci-Fi: Alien Empire, by Anthony Gills:http://www.amazon.com/Alien-Empire-ebook/dp/B007T0QENG/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1341376285&sr=1-1&keywords=alien+empire
Action/Crime/Thriller: Lust, Money, and Murder, by Mike Wells (Book 1 is free!):http://www.amazon.com/Lust-Money-Murder-Books-ebook/dp/B004QTOJ0I
Children's Series: The Ghosts of Cockleshore Castle series, by Diana Shaw: http://www.amazon.com/Horace-Stowaway-Edward-Ghosts-Cockleshore/dp/0955480493
And there you have it, some amazing books (most in eBook format as well) by some amazing authors! You gotta check these books out, they're super entertaining and hold a lot of promise!
In fact, I'm going to go read one of them right now!
