Disneybounding At Disneyland Paris

Have you heard about the Disney Bounding trend?
If not, let me fill you in!
Disney Bounding is basically a version of Cos-playing but with slightly less dramatic costumes! It came about due to the rules in place at Disney theme parks prohibiting adults (or anyone over the age of 12) from wearing costumes in order to protect the authenticity of the characters and to safeguard children.
To abide the rules of not wearing costumes but still have a little fun, adults came up Disney Bounding instead - it involves wearing an outfit comprised of normal, every day clothes themed to look like your favorite Disney characters and it is honestly SO MUCH FUN to do!
I've always been a big fan of costumes and love any excuse to dress up - I'm the mom rocking the pumpkin dress every Halloween, and if there's ever a theme night on you can guarantee I'll have my outfit planned weeks in advance...so I'm not too sure why it took me until my 6th visit to Disneyland Paris to embrace Disney Bounding but I'm so glad I finally gave it a go on our last visit!
I decided to choose two of my favorite Disney characters for my first attempts at Bounding...first up was my all time favorite Disney character, Minnie Mouse!
I spotted the perfect Minnie Mouse dress on EMP and I just fell in love with it! It was so comfortable that I honestly wish I could wear it every day.
I teamed it with some black leggings, my traditional Minnie ears, a pair of Minnie Mouse sneakers from good old Primark and a Minnie Mouse ruck sack along with some bright red lippy...and hey presto! Minnie Bound complete!
I hadn't really expected Disney Bounding to draw quite so much attention in the parks if I'm honest but I did have quite a few people ask if they could take photos, which took a bit of getting used to....I loved the experience of wearing the costume though and it really helped me to get into the Disney spirit even more!
I was sad not to get to meet Minnie in her traditional outfit while I was wearing the outfit, but she was only in the parks in her Halloween and Parisienne outfits during my visit...oh well, I'll just have to wear it again next time to snap a photo with her!
For my second Disney bound, I decided to go seasonal.
We visited during the Halloween season and so I decided to bound as a character who would be in the parks especially for it...I toyed with the idea of being Maleficent but eventually decided on the pumpkin king himself, Jack Skellington!
Jack is one of my favorite characters for Meet & Greets in the park so I knew I'd get the chance to get photos with him.
I spotted the perfect Jack style top on EMP, and again paired it with some good old black leggings (I had intended to find some pinstripe ones but time ran out!).
The finishing touch was my amazing Something Strange ears from Hannah Marie Magic which were just perfect!
Jack was very complimentary about my outfit and it was so much fun snapping these photos with him.
I'm already planning to try an Ariel bound for our next visit, I definitely have the Disney Bound bug now!
Have you ever tried Disney Bounding? Which characters would you bound as?
I'd love to hear your thoughts!
