What are your strengths as a writer when it comes to description?

What are your weaknesses when it comes to description?

Take a moment to fully experience a cup of water. Yes, go to wherever you keep cups and fill it with water. Observe it with as many senses as possible. Read what you wrote and answer these questions:

What are your strengths as a writer when it comes to description?

What are your weaknesses when it comes to description?

Now, re-read the suggestion from C.S. Lewis and write again, focusing on your strengths. Go!

 Lists:

List 3 - 10 places/experiences as objects (or subjects) you would like to use to practice writing description.

Compile or collect a stack of physical images for writing practice.

Take five minutes to free write on one of the images, places or experiences from your above collections.
