Dresses Made of Strange Materials

Posted on the 19 September 2012 by Eugenal @MRoyalDisaster

The world of fashion is unpredictable, ridiculous and entangled jungle where you can meet any creature which may turn out to be a woman dressed in the designer’s gown.

The fashion artists surprise us not only with the style of clothes but with the materials they use for their creations as well.

For instance, if you want to feel light as air, you can put on a balloon dress, which is actually made of a great number of small twisted balloons. However, note that you will not be able even to sit down in this wonderful gown in order not to blow out its elements. You can even purchase a balloonish bikini made by the American designers Katie Laibstain and Steven Jones.

Some ideas of the designers serve to promote different tendencies such as save sex, for instance. It is easy to guess of what material the items of the collection are made. Dresses made of condoms were demonstrated on the condom fashion show in China. A fashion designer Adriana Bertini from Brazil also uses condoms for creation of her collection which is called “Dress Up Against AIDS”.

Modern designers tend to be environmental- friendly by using waste to make their dresses and encourage people to recycle trash. For instance, the designer Susie MacMurray has created a wedding dress from rubber gloves. Strange as it may sound, but the dress looks stunning. Cans, newspapers, cigarette butts and bottle tops are also used as the materials of making fashion designers’ dreams come true.

The vegetarian theme is reflected in producing dresses made of grass and flowers. They are sweet but appear to be the most fragile ones at the same time.

Sometimes, however, fashion artists surprise even the most experienced trendies with their wild ideas. One of them is human hair dresses. They look fine, but even the thought of putting them on makes most people uncomfortable.
