Last week I partook in a wonderful food tour within Carmel. I will be talking more about this soon (I Promise!)
During our tour we stopped into Trio Carmel. A little shop that focuses on three passions: Olive Oil, Wine, and Shopping, of course. We were lucky and had an olive oil tasting trying out a few varietals, but the best part is when the ice cream came out.
Two things I would have never thought to mix together: Olive Oil and Ice Cream, but it actually works. Of course, I had to buy a bottle and try it out at home: Perfect for the upcoming months:
The Strawberry Balsamic Summer Sundae:
Ingredients:
Vanilla Ice Cream (2 scoops)
2 Strawberries, cut up
Strawberry Balsamic Vinegar.
Directions:
In a wine glass insert 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream. Top with cut up strawberries then sprinkle a dash of the Strawberry Balsamic Vinegar on top. Then enjoy this fun sundae.
