Facebook Hates Me

Posted on the 03 April 2013 by Jhouser123 @jhouser123

If you recently got messaged by me on Facebook asking for your support to get more likes on my Facebook page, then you know about my little campaign over the past few days.  I had this idea that I would raise more likes on Facebook so I could have the potential to get sponsored, and even more potential to get more readers.  I have basically given up on Facebook Ads, because the number of people who actually click them is pathetic, and I don’t want to be annoying by constantly sharing and posting about the page, so I figured I would go old school and just start sending out messages.  Facebook didn’t exactly appreciate that…

I hate this thing.

To Facebook, anyone who is copy and pasting the same quick plea for likes into a dozen messages look a lot like a spammer I guess.  At first it asked me to enter ones of those CAPTCHA things and said I can continue on with my day.  After a little while later and a few more messages, it started telling me that I was basically using Facebook messenger for something it was not intended to do, and that if I didn’t stop it wouldn’t let me use it anymore.  Well someone got pissy real quick!  So after Facebook yelled at me I quit messaging people for likes, and started texting people, which, I will be honest, is much less effective because you constantly get “Oh I am not by my computer but I will do that later” even though I am sending you an iMessage so I KNOW YOU ARE USING AN IPHONE AND EVERY IPHONE USER HAS THE FACEBOOK APP WHICH IN MY OPINION IS MUCH EASIER TO USE THAN THEIR WEB-BASED SERVICES.  Sorry, it just frustrates me to no end.

So, Facebook, please stop freaking out.  I am just a guy trying to get some likes, and give away some free stuff! It can’t possibly be that hard! Apparently some people aren’t fans of progress.  If you like my blog, you should like us on Facebook.  If you follow my blog, you should probably follow me on Twitter.  Although those are the only two things I can say like that, you should also comment, subscribe, and come back next time!
