Family Vacation Planning Again...

Posted on the 22 January 2013 by Felicakes @felicakes

So we are planning family holidays again. M and I are conflicted with all these vacation destinations that are on sale. We really need a break from the norm. Things have been heating up at home lately and I think a break would do us good.

I am not sure where we are going yet. It's still early days. We are planning to go towards the end of the year. That way we will have time to save up. M and I are so different, we are polar opposites, I want to go on a shopping and eating holiday (hey I am Asian, that is what we mainly do), and M wants to go on a historical holiday. Meaning we will be visiting historical sites and museums. I love historical sites and museums and all but not for the entire holiday! I mean come on.

* sigh* What are we going to do? Well, I stole this idea off my favourite show F.R.I.E.N.D.S. M and I will each put in 5 destinations that we would to go to, and we will each get 4 vetos on destinations we do not want to go. Sounds good right? I am not sure how this will work but I hope we will not be arguing over where we want to go for a long time.

So now I have to research on where I want to go! Of course we do have a set budget and I would like to go somewhere where all of us can enjoy at the same time. I am doing my research here to see where I can go with the Lil’ Tiger.

What do you think? Do you have a tip on how to plan a family holiday when your “wants” is different from your partner’s?
