Featured Portrait Shoot: Paula

Posted on the 26 April 2017 by Belinda Mccarthy @b_mccarthyphoto

'I AM NOT A ONE IN A MILLION KIND OF GIRL. I AM A ONCE IN A LIFETIME KIND OF WOMAN'.

Paula came to the studio here in Shililngstone on the eve of her fortieth birthday to create beautiful portraiture images to celebrate this landmark time of her life. Not only that, Paula's mum also came along to watch and join in the excitement, which gave them both a wonderful 'girls day out' together!

Paula wanted to create images that her own little girl would be able to treasure in years to come - which is exactly the kind of timeless legacy portraits we create here at The Stables. And wow, Paula shone in front of the camera, although she was the first to say that this was something well outside of her comfort zone!

Having a portrait session isn't just about you. It's about capturing a moment in time that will live on forever. Most importantly, we mums must make time to step out from behind the camera and be in those photographs so that our children can see them in years to come. One day, these images will be the most important things that Paula's little girl will own.

We photographed Paula in a variety of outfits - four of which you can see in the photographs below - and even managed to get a wonderful mother and daughter shot at the end to finish off the session! We're always happy to cater for small family groups as part of a pamper portrait session - because relationships are the most precious things in the world, and need to be celebrated in images. Don't you agree?
