FFS Friday: No Man's Land

Posted on the 10 May 2013 by Makemeupmandy @mandywebb28

My first FFS Friday pointer for today is that I didn't even realise it was Friday until this morning. FFS
That just shows how utterly busy I have been. FFS
This week, I packed my entire family (minus the dog) in the car and off to Sydney we went. No FFS
We were there for yours truly me and I got to meet some lovely PR people and attend the exciting Lush event that I have been looking forward to. No FFS
I got to meet lovely Roxane who asked me if blogging has taken over my life. I cannot think of a question more apt. Blogging has taken over my life for sure and also that of my family's, given that my husband had taken annual leave and we took Ally out of school for one day just to travel down to Sydney for a big day out. No FFS
It was 9pm when we left for home. We typed the address into the navigation system and somehow, ended up on a whole stretch of winding, creepy road for about 2 hours. FFS

There was no reception, there was fog everywhere and visibility was shockingly poor. FFS
There were motorcycle helmets and crosses every few hundred metres in memory of people who have died in accidents along this dangerous path.
We could not figure out where we were and there was no reception so we just had to keep following the winding road, even when we could see on the navigation that we were going deeper and deeper into No Man's Land. FFS
Luckily, the kids were really good and were asleep the whole time. No FFS

Ok, joking. They were genuinely flat out. How cute are these pics?!
In the afternoon, Husband took the kids to Chinatown and bought them a robo pet each. You know, the annoyingly cute little pups that bark and move around.
I know Ally loves pups but I have no idea why we bought one for the baby. All she does is yell at the pups, shake her finger in their faces and yell "Nooo... noooo.. noo...". She smacks them in the head and runs off. FFS
After just one day, she's wrecked both pups' ears. FFS
Ally very kindly urged us not to be annoyed because "Kasey is just a baby and she can't hold the pups properly so she carries them by the ears. She didn't do it on purpose." FFS, this kid scares me with her maturity and patience with her baby sister.
The baby was dribbling one day and Ally dabbed some on her finger and tasted it. FFS
She went on to announce that: "Oh, Kasey's spit tastes the same as mine. That's because we are sisters." FFS
She then gave me an informative lecture on how her baby sister and her share the same saliva so it's okay for them to share utensils and food. But it is YUCKY to share with mum and dad. FFS, kids and their funny logic.
Today is a big day for us as we're leveling the stumps under the house. Hello to cracking walls, cornices and tiles. Yes, FFS, like a nightmare of proportions. No idea how we will fix everything but it was something we had to do sooner or later.
Linking up with the rant party at Dear Baby G as usual and remember to get your entries in for the Robomaid Giveaway!
