…Find a New Way of Living

…Find a New Way of LivingThe world lost a giant yesterday. You may not know Hal Prince by name, but odds are you've been touched by his work in some way.

"Cabaret", "Fiddler on the Roof", "West Side Story", "Candide", "Company", "Evita", "Phantom of the Opera" - are just a few of the works he helped bring to life either as a producer, director, or both.

When someone of this stature passes it's very easy to dwell on the loss, but the fact is that Prince's life was very much a gain. For 91 years he shaped the theater world in a way that went beyond the proscenium.

I realize that may sound semi-hyperbolic, but it's very true. A story told in the right way to the right audience has the power to change the world. Over the course of his career, Prince told so many important stories to an expanding and evolving audience.

His life touched and changed so many others, and he will be sorely missed.

With that in mind, today I'm choosing to celebrate his life and his work. His legacy and the stories he told live on and continue to change the world.

Rest In Peace, Mr. Prince.
