When it comes to my nails, I'm low maintenance. I have a mini collection of my favorite nail lacquer at home and cleaning kit. So most of the time I'm the one who clean and put color on them. I love them short but when I feel I wanna be more "lady-like" then I grew them just a bit longer than what I'm used to.
I've tried nail art and gel polish, and now acrylic nails! I adore women who can sport long, beautiful nails and I'm finally giving myself a chance to experience how it feels like wearing long nails with pretty nail art.

Let's start with clean nails. If you have nail polish on, you have to remove it using an acetone-based, oil-free nail polish remover. If you have previous gel or acrylic nails, Ayumi Las Piñas offers a service for removing them at a minimal fee.
Trim, buff your nails, and push back your cuticles. Acrylic should adhere to your natural nails.
Next, acrylic primer. This will remove excess moisture and oil from your nails. This is important to make the acrylic stick more to your nails.
Then they'll ask you how long you want your nails to be. They will attach this thing (photo above) to each finger and it has numbers equivalent to measurement. I chose 0.5 since I don't think I can survive having nails that are too long for me.
Applying the acrylic. I heard from one of the customers who also availed the acrylic nail art service that in some nail art salons, it smells like strong chemicals. This is a plus points for Ayumi Las Pinas. The product they are using didn't irritate my nose. I actually don't think it has scent since I didn't smell anything during the acrylic application.
Then you need to put them under LED light. Just be careful, whenever you feel like there's a burning sensation, remove your hand immediately and let it cool down before putting them back. The staff will assist you so you don't need to worry.
TADA! Instant long nails! Ugh, I never had them as long as these ever. Achievement unlocked!
