Extreme germaphobes, a recent study could mean fewer bacteria-ridden handshakes are in your future.
According to a study published this week in the American Journal of Infection Control the fist bump is the least infectious way to to exchange pleasantries.
Yes, that’s right. Not only is the fist bump trendy, it’s also hygienic.
In fact, the fist bump transfers less than more than half as many bacteria as the handshake.
Okay, so maybe this won’t be the death of the handshake, but at least you’ll have some more gross facts running through your head the next time you have to be a slave to the this socially imposed ritual.
