After a long holiday weekend (or month, for some), it’s time to return to the real world. Which for most of us means getting back to the daily grind.
It turns out that daily grind is a little bit more than we previously thought.
According to a recent poll, the 40 hour work week is closer to 50 hours. To be specific, the average work week for those employed full-time is 47 hours.
That’s nearly an entire extra day of work each and every week. It’s four extra days per month, and is just shy of an extra 2 months worth of work per year.
When you add in the fact that the average American worker leaves four vacation days unused each year, well, it sounds like we could all use another long weekend.
