Well folks, Super Bowl weekend is upon us, and for movie buffs, that means one thing, the Oscars aren’t far behind.
The cold, hard truth is that if you want to play along, you have precious few weekends left to catch up on your nominated movie viewing. Sunday, February 28, is coming up quickly.
That’s not to say that there isn’t joy to be found in blindly guessing based on headlines you’ve seen in passing and your personal feelings about the stars and other creatives nominated (which are likely based on other headlines you’ve seen in passing).
And as someone who picks my March Madness bracket based on personal loyalties, mascots, team colors, and the most potential for a Cinderella scenario, I mean that sincerely.
Whichever you decide, the point of no return is fast approaching. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m still two best picture nominations away from my Oscar goals. See you all on the other side.
