Gone Fishin'

Posted on the 21 May 2012 by Mikidemann @mikidemann
This weekend was a good one. It was extremely busy, which is the opposite of most our weekends. Jared and I like to be as lazy as possible on the weekends. Not having to wake up before noon, eating doughnuts for every meal, staying in our pajamas until 6pm, any lazy trait we have it. Shia doesn’t mind being lazy either. However this weekend was jam packed.
Saturday a crew of boys. My husband and both brother, my twin-in-law and some others went paint balling up by my parents house. I stayed at my moms and hung out there all day with my best friend, Shia. Is it pathetic she is my best friend? We are pretty much inseparable now, we cuddle every night, she even sometimes jumps in the shower with me! What is it about being in the sun that just exhaust you? After paint balling outside, and helping my mom use her lawn furniture all day Saturday we came home, ate some Big Daddy’s pizza, and stayed in for the night.
Sunday was an abundance of fun. Jared surprised me with my very own baby fishing pole! It has a reel that for babies. So you can’t get it tangled. I don’t know if he’s aware of this, but I have fished before, with a grown up pole. However, my very own baby pole is way more fun. I can cast like a thousand million feet. That’s right. A THOUSAND MILLION! But in the end I caught no fish. Jared, Justin, and Jeff probably caught about 20 total, and me, the only girl ZERO! A whopping zero fish. I think that all those fish were sexist, or they were like, “If I am going to be caught, it will not be by a GIRL!”. The fish were sneaky.IMG_0707-2012-05-21-12-44.JPGIMG_0672-2012-05-21-12-44.jpgIMG_0671-2012-05-21-12-44.jpgIMG_0681-2012-05-21-12-44.JPG
Justin brought his dog, Duke up fishing. Jared and I brought our child, Shia up fishing. The two of them used to be roommates when Justin lived with us. When we lived together, they weren’t best friends. But you wouldn’t have ever known that at the Lake. The two of them were playing in the sand and mud for the 8 hours we were up there. They both wanted to get in the water really bad, but as we were fishing we wouldn’t let them. At the end before we left, we let the dogs play in the water for a while. Shia isn’t the best swimmer, and sadly I didn’t get the video of her actually swimming, but she is great at running in water, and I did video that! =)IMG_0673-2012-05-21-12-44.JPGIMG_0704-2012-05-21-12-44.JPGIMG_0694-2012-05-21-12-44.JPG
Enjoy the videos :)
What did you all do this weekend?
