Exactly one year ago today September 17 I embarked on a new and exciting journey and typed my first blog post on this very blog. I was following the direction of a specialist that told me to keep a journal of my experiences, pain levels, and symptoms after I had a horrible fall that exacerbated a flare that left me debilitated for nine months. I didn’t think writing would help me much but I figured what more could it hurt. Posts were short and slow at first since most days I was literally too fatigued and weak to even sit up let alone write. So I typed on my touchpad or phone, one keystroke at a time. Little did I know that one year later I would go on to start a second food blog, found a gluten free bakery, write and publish two books and become pain ambassador for the U.S Pain Foundation

It is with a happy and joyful heart that I say THANK YOU to all of my loyal readers, co-bloggers, and pain fighters out there for taking this journey with me as well as Happy Anniversary to Living with Fibro Blog! My life has changed immensely over the last year and I dare say I have transformed more in the last year than I have in the previous 25. I have met some awesome and amazing people along the way during this journey and I can truly say that blogging, sharing my experiences with the world, and reading your comments and feedback are what get me through many days. With twitter, facebook, emails and letters you have encouraged me and bolstered my faith in more ways than I can articulate.

So often I get depressed and discouraged because of all the sacrifices I’ve made with this illness and all the things that it has taken away. But then I think about all the things that fibro has given me and I can honestly say I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I have this blog because of fibro! It is often hard for us to see the big picture but most times things happen just as they should. We don’t always understand but we are usually right where we need to be. I believe that more so now than ever and I hope to continue to share my life and experiences with you to inspire you to keep fighting, keep going and to stay triumphant!

To celebrate and give more thanks I’m sharing another A+mazing giveaway with you courtesy of Rafflecopter and 1 person will win a copy of my first book of poetry
