Would you all like to know why I have the best Mom in the world? I will give it to you all in 5 simple reasons.
Reason #1:
Because she would actually show up to her Granddaughter’s birthday tea party dressed like this – a gesture of love that was completely selfless and all about my daughter. How special is that?
Reason #2:
Because she gives and gives and gives and gives – to me, to her family, to her community. She has the most giving heart, and I am so touched by her generosity every single day.
Reason #3:
Because I know that when I need her, she is always there for me. We talk every single day on the phone. She helps me sort out anything that’s troubling me, and gives me advice even when I don’t ask for it! She is always the voice of reason.
Reason #4:
She carries on traditions from our family’s history and makes absolute certain to pass it down to me and to my children. There is so much to learn and cherish from the past, and my mom takes careful stock of all of it and ensures that her children do, too.
Reason #5:
My Mom is so together on everything – the way she dresses, throws a party, puts together an arrangement of flowers, writes a thank you note, cooks a meal. You name it – she is ultra amazing elegant, and there is lesson after lesson to learn from her.
I am so blessed to have her as a role model in life, and believe me, I count my lucky stars each and every day. It is apropos that she has a Thanksgiving birthday, because she is the definition in the dictionary of what to be thankful for.
