The Lincoln Family Home in Hildene is a beautiful place to visit this time of year. Located in Vermont, it's an easy drive from Long Island. If you like hiking or outdoor Winter sports you can snowshoe or cross country ski on the grounds within walking distance to an adjacent goat farm with it's own cheese making factory. One year we were lucky enough to see some baby goats during the birthing season. It was a wonderful thing to see nearby volunteers watching over and assisting the mother goats.
